US Rushes More Military Equipment To Ukraine

CNN: First US shipment of recently directed security assistance arrives in Ukraine

(CNN)The first US shipment of recently directed security assistance has arrived in Ukraine, the US Embassy in Kyiv tweeted Friday night.

The shipment "includes close to 200,000 pounds of lethal aid, including ammunition for the front line defenders of Ukraine," according to the tweet.

The development comes as the US has sought to convince Moscow to de-escalate the situation at the Ukrainian border, where Russia has amassed more than 100,000 troops.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned Friday that any Russian invasion of Ukraine would be "met with a severe and a united response."

I have no idea what the Biden Pentagon approved for shipment to Ukraine. But the UK reportedly shipped first-line antitank missile systems and MANPADs.

90 tonnes of what, ammo and grenades? Ukraine has enough small arms to fight for 50 years lol.
Hopefully the shipment is javelin missiles , stingers and drones

Good for him. Nobody complained when Clinton launched an air war on Serbia distract from his impeachment.

The American gear is Russian gear from 50 years ago sold to African countries, which found its way onto the black market and changed hands several ties and acquired by the CIA. The CIa made absolutely sure there is nothing traceable back to the US. The secret codename for the airlift is called Timid Rabbit.

Believe it is not true. It is the way supplying the the Afghan muj began, It was with old non American equipment bought on the black market. Only after it looked like Afghanistan was a winner did the CIA get bolder.

The Obama/CIA complex could not initially admit it was sending lethal aid to Syrian rebels. Ceasar Obama averred to was nonlethal aid like radios and other stuff. Because ... because Assad helping jihadis kill Americans during the Iraq War was not reason enough to declare war ion Assad for some odd reason.

Link/source specifically to *this gear being sent in particular?

link source? None. This is based on past performance by the CIA.

When there is a reluctance send the good stuff. Washington has been slow to send Javelin antitank weapons to Ukraine. If they sent a lot now in 2022 for there to be sufficient numbers if Javelins sent, it means they were putzing around in 2021.
