Ars Technica: Hactivists say they hacked Belarus rail system to stop Russian military buildup
If confirmed, the attack would be one of the first times ransomware has been used this way.
Hacktivists in Belarus said on Monday they had infected the network of the country’s state-run railroad system with ransomware and would provide the decryption key only if Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko stopped aiding Russian troops ahead of a possible invasion of Ukraine.

Afterall.
The Russian military is not buying train tickets for its soldiers, and the signal stations will probably be managed manually for these trains.
But this cyber attack is a major inconvenience, and it showcases how cyber warfare if properly targeted can disrupt critical troop and military hardware shipping.
