White House Administration Says It Has No Plans To Cut Troop Numbers In Eastern Europe To Defuse Tensions With Russia

The US said it has no plans to cut troop numbers in Eastern Europe to defuse tensions with Russia.

Top diplomat Antony Blinken said Russia is pushing a "false narrative" to justify troop deployments on Ukraine's border. 

The United States has dismissed reports that it is preparing to offer to cut troop numbers in Eastern Europe at talks next week with Russia over Ukraine. 

US outlet NBC News, citing several sources, reported on Friday that Washington was ready to discuss scaling back US forces in Eastern Europe, with Russia also pulling back from the Ukrainian border and other parts of the region.

Blinkin is a clueless bastard.
Russians love their lost buffer states and I'm sure they want them back. But for him to say Russians are known as bad guests and not wanting to leave after the US experience in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan is mental denseness not seen since concrete.

If Russia would give up its illegal occupation of Kaliningrad and its designs on Belarus. It would have a large buffer zone.
