The Guardian: Journalists’ group ‘dismayed’ by treatment at Beijing Winter Olympics
Foreign Correspondents’ Club of China says reporters tailed and manhandled by security despite assurances from Games officials.
Reporting conditions for journalists covering the Beijing Winter Olympics fell short of international standards despite assurances from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Foreign Correspondents’ Club (FCCC) of China has said.

WNU Editor: Watched a panel of journalists yesterday on their experiences in covering the Beijing Olympics. Without exception they all had a bad experience in China.
Personally .... I had to laugh. We are talking about China. What did they really expect?
On a side note. NBC announced that an average of 11.4 million viewers watched the Beijing Olympics on NBC Universal platforms each night — the smallest prime-time audience on record for any Winter Games (link here). No surprise. Only a handful of NBC journalists were actually in China.

China is NYC. Only 1,000 times bigger
China is a nice place. You sight see, you eat at restaurants, you worry about your job and education. You absolutely do not get involved in politics except to parrot the party line.
Just like Democrat Party controlled America in the 21st century.

no one spends time loading a video to see something you think of interest when they do not even know what it is aboutl
I watched. The video was showing American athletes praising the Chinese Olympics and what a wonderful time they had while attending. They forgot to mention the unicorns. Bizarre stuff.
I have seen mixed reports on the Olympics
There were athletes who said food was good and food was bad.
Of course the COVID protocols were shit, but they are shit around the world so ...
One thing for sure is that the beds for the Winter Olympics were better than those at the Olympics in Japan.
