President Joe Biden told Vladimir Putin on Saturday morning that Russia would face 'swift and severe' economic and political costs if it invaded Ukraine, amid frantic efforts to persuade Moscow to pull back from the brink.
The two leaders held an hour-long conversation a day after US officials said they believed Putin could launch an invasion at any time, and as American diplomats began leaving the embassy in the Ukrainian capital Kiev.
'President Biden was clear that, if Russia undertakes a further invasion of Ukraine, the United States together with our Allies and partners will respond decisively and impose swift and severe costs on Russia,' said the White House after the call finished.

So, Biden is repeating the same thing again and again. What is the result?
Russia and China threaten countries every day.
India, Japan, and countries bordering the South China Sea feel or are threatened by China.
Georgia, Finland, the Baltic States, Ukraine and Poland are threatened by Russia.
Besides punching a bully in the nose one of the ways of dealing with them is to counter threaten them. Issuing threats in the face of threat is way to not get into a physical fist fight. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Looking weak more often invites violence than counter threatening.
It helps to look the part and none of our leaders look the part.

I agree
Can be solved in 5 seconds. Biden "Ukraine will not be a member of the NATO alliance now & forever" Putin "I won't invade & send the army back to barracks" Simples. Keep ducking 🙉
