Newsweek: Russia Issues Ominous Warning to Finland, Sweden Should They Join NATO
Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman has said that Moscow would have to respond if Sweden and Finland intended to join NATO.
Maria Zakharova held a press conference on Friday and reflected on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the intentions of Russia going forward.
A clip of her speech has begun to go viral on social media as she appears to issue a threat aimed at Sweden and Finland, saying it would have "serious military-political repercussions."

Britain has gotten rid of its army & made it into a small national guard force. The Royal Navy has just 6 submarines about 11 or 12 frigates & 6 destroyers that don't work properly with engines that are prone to breaking down if the sea is too warm. Putin's comments are certifiable lunacy. Just wow. Is he bluffing? The more important question is, does EU/NATO want to find out? For several of the reasons given in the above comments, I'd wager the answer is no. NATO has become pretty much a hollow shell. A lot of bark, very little bite. And it will take literally years of investment to change that.
