BBC: US sounds fresh alarm over Ukraine invasion fears
The US secretary of state has said the extension of Russian military drills in Belarus has made him more worried about an imminent invasion of Ukraine.
Antony Blinken said Moscow's decision to keep about 30,000 troops in Belarus, next to Ukraine, amid raised tension in eastern Ukraine, suggests this.
His warning came as unidentified US intelligence sources said Russian commanders have been ordered to invade.
But Ukraine said talk of an imminent Russian invasion was "inappropriate".
Its Defence Minister Alexei Reznikov said an attack "tomorrow or the day after tomorrow" was unlikely as no Russian "strike groups" had yet formed near the border.

Biden was going to fight Corn Pop. So Biden brought a metal chain to a fist fight.

There is no way that Biden would have stood up for himself instead of backing down and running away or begging.
The man behind the curtain Obama is equally cowardly. The details on his sole fight are sketchy. Obama did bravely join in on the ridicule and dogpile of a girl after a substantial number of classmates had already joined in. Very brave of Obama.
Putin was shorter than average, but he got into a lot of fight and did not back down.
Jump forward in time and what has Biden done? He pulled 160 National Guardsmen out of Ukraine. 160 people can hold a bridge at least in a delaying action.
Instead of sending 3,000 soldiers to Poland, Biden could have sent 6,000 to Kyiv and that would be enough to bar the Russian advance to Kyiv.
But the Biden/Obama 3 administration has shown its colors and they are yella.
I don't think we'll see a drawdown until after the olympics conclude. From the russian perspective, western intelligence enacts their boldest plans during the olympic distraction period ala Maidan + Sochi.
Yes, a revanchist Russian could never understand why Maidan would happen after Russia undermined Ukraine like trying to assassinate president VIKTOR Yushchenko.
