US Vice-President Harris Meets Ukraine President Zelensky And Threatens Putin With 'Significant And Unprecedented' Sanctions If Russia Invades

Harris is pictured with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Munich on Saturday. Both leaders wore masks - Harris a heavy-duty KN95-style covering, even though she is fully-vaccinated and boosted against COVID

Daily Mail: Kamala Harris meets with Ukrainian president Zelensky and threatens Putin with 'significant and unprecedented' sanctions if Russia invades: Biden says 160,000 troops are 'poised to strike'

* Harris said the United States and its allies were prepared to impose 'significant and unprecedented' economic costs on Russia if it further invades Ukraine

* Harris, who wore a mask for her meeting said the US and its allies has tried to engage with Russia to find diplomatic solution but their effort have not been met by the Kremlin in good faith

* 'We will target Russia's financial institutions and key industries, and we will target those who...who aide and abet this unprovoked invasion'

* She also implied the Kremlin had launched false flag attacks as a pretext for war, hours after a gas pipeline blast and car bomb rocked pro-Russian cities in Eastern Ukraine

* The United States will not stop with economic measures, but will further reinforce the eastern flank of NATO, Harris said at the conference

* Biden on Friday declared that Putin had made up his mind to invade Ukraine and it could be launched in days

* It is the first time the US has said Russia will invade. 'I'm convinced he's made the decision,' said Biden

* On Friday night, Biden tweeted that he hoped war could be averted between Russia and Ukraine

* 'We're calling out Russia's plans. Not because we want a conflict, but because we are doing everything in our power to remove any reason Russia may give to justify invading Ukraine'

Vice President Kamala Harris publicly warned Vladimir Putin of the 'swift and severe' consequences he will face if Russia further invades Ukraine and branded him a 'lying propagandist' after a car bomb destroyed a pipeline forcing the evacuation of 700,000.

In a speech early Saturday at the Munich Security Conference, Harris said the United States and its allies were prepared to impose significant and unprecedented economic costs on Russia if it further invades Ukraine, Reuters reported.

'Let me be clear, I can say with absolute certainty, if Russia further invades Ukraine, the United States together with our allies and partners will impose significant and unprecedented economic costs,' Harris said at the annual conference of the world's top national security officials.

WNU Editor: This photo-op of US Vice-President Harris and Ukraine President Zelensky together reminds me of the last photo-op between President Biden and Afghan President Ghani in the Oval Office 6 weeks before the fall of Kabul. I hope I am wrong, but my gut is telling me that the Biden administration has already written Zelensky off and they are now getting ready to a post-Russian invasion and occupation of Ukraine..

The Ubited States has nukes and stands ready and willing to use them to protect their interests in Ukraine. Barring this Russia does indeed have the "high cards." Russia has them too. Will they use them here? Probably not.

Our leadership class has won this round!! Do our nukes actually work? Let's hope and pray former president Trump successfully upgraded our arsenal as he said he did!!

Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances signed in 1994 means that the US station troops if needed to deter Russian invasion or go to war

It does not mean that we will have unprecedented sanctions, which of they are like the Iranians ones a Democrat president will relent after 2 to 4 years and gradually roll back.

"Unprecedented sanctions" is the same gobbledy gook of the nature of Ned Price's "We are working all the levers. It is non, specific pablum to fill air time but not say Gawd damn thing.

Politicians are always working hard to fix problems they didn't give a shit about before they became problems, usually as a result of their own incompetence. O brave, hard-working politicians! Lead us to victory!

I have it on good authority that Kamala is willing to do whatever it takes to satisfy the Ukraine President, even going so far as to personally meat Putin on her knees to manipulate the situation to a climax.
