Why Is the Public Skeptical On U.S. Claims Of An Imminent Russian Invasion Of Ukraine?

BBC: The West is a player in the Ukraine information war. Unlike Russia, it has to convince the public

(CNN)Corpses strewn through wrecked buildings in the aftermath of an apparently deadly explosion. Distraught mourners, grieving for lost loved ones. And amid the smoldering ruins, evidence of Western military equipment.

In a world all too familiar with graphic images of one disaster after another, it's easy to imagine the grim footage. And the United States says that's exactly what this is: make-believe violence.

It says Russia is plotting to stage a fake attack, and shoot a gory propaganda video of it, as a pretext for an invasion of Ukraine. The clip would frame the Ukrainian military -- and by extension, their NATO allies -- for an attack on Russian-speaking people.

WNU Editor: We all need to be skeptical. After-all .... governments and the media have a long history of not being accurate in the past (see below):

The false flag Gulf of Tonking Incident, Iraqi WMD, Trump Russian collusion delusion, the Steel dossier & many more. Putin may intend to invade, war might indeed break out, but I cannot believe the US Government & the partisan CIA, FBI etc who are plainly the Intel services for the Democratic party. They have absolutely zero credibility. They have destroyed all trust. Keep ducking 🙈

No believes a word these clowns say

The US government conspired with operatives from the Democratic Party to subvert the lawful President Trump administration. They enlisted foreign governments in their efforts and that means the democrats engaged in treason.

Prosecutor Dunham keeps shining a light on these crimes.

Of course the US government will concoct Wag the Dog scenarios about Russia or any other nation. The US governments credibility is on a par with the communists of old or the Chinese communist party of today.

"Why Is the Public Skeptical On U.S. Claims Of An Imminent Russian Invasion Of Ukraine?"

Because many people realize that the USA is run by liars.

I wonder how the irrational and unpredictable behavior of Biden enters into the calculus of Putin. Putin and Xi both have expansionary goals they want to achieve. But they want to be standing when it is over. Nuclear war with the US destroys their ambitions. How confident are they that Biden will not do something thoughtless, impulsive and stupid that destroys their ambitions?

Good questions. These people have a history of behaving irrationally.

The editor comment nails it. There is an old proverb that comes to mind. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

When are leftists lying? Their lips are moving.

based on polling data those lies are only gonna get bigger, and the moves more desperate.

distinguish between what the papers say (opinion) and what the govt says
the papers now cite the govt and in this case pundits that know the intel make clear that Biden is showing Putin that we have the intel and know what he is up to and is so doing suggesting his moves are known and therefore he can not use deception and false flags. That is: all this done on purpose to make counter moves against Putin and his plans. Now if you do not know this has been the gist of has taken place then you are missing some useful reading.
