Analysis: What's Really Happening In The Russia - Ukraine War

WNU Editor: Another must watch excellent analysis from Task & Purpose.

Much of the western media analysis on the war is only from the Ukraine side. Kudos to Task & Purpose for examining both sides.

Thanks for sharing this. I will watch late tonight when time shouid petmit. Since we're mostly only getting perspectives from the Ukrainian side, unless we have the time to dig deeper we aren't going to be getting a complete picture of this. Of course we do have WNU to help us!!

Add to this the fact that Zelensky's background is acting meaning he's very good at messaging. As such, healthy skepticism regarding anything he says is strongly advised. Furthermore his chief allies are Democrat party leadership and the US government who have a long history of shoddy analysis and being less than truthful.

Combine this with the limited reporting on the Russian perspectives that we're getting on this with the links and analysis provided by WNU and my "gut" I hypothesize that the war is going much worse for Ukraine and much better for Russia than is generally being reported.

It's already over for Ukraine. The Azov guys who will never surrender are trapped in pockets and they might force the Russians to start leveling apartment buildings block by block in certain cities, but they're operationally useless in the vast majority of western Ukraine at this point.

The "working hours" average between 10.5 to 12 hours a day but can be flexible as long as the demands of governmental entities and financial institutions are met and client needs and expectations are met and hopefully exceeded. You would know all of this had you Actually taken the time to get to know me and engage in constructive dialog.

"Azov Batallion" or whatever they call themselves. A cursory study of them suggests they are Neo-Nazi. A 2014 Guardian article refers to them as Ukraine's greatest fighting force and it's greatest threat. It's not surprising as the media has tended for decades to vastly overestimate the influence of "Neo Nazis."

The WAPO now states they are "ecploitimg" the conflict. This is probably closer to reality. In their desire to confront Russia and cover up their nefarious activities in Ukraine, our leadership class is likeky okay with supporting such people. Based upon prior experience it's unlikely Germany or other European powers will be. They're certainly not going to take the radical step of suspending Nordstream 2 which was crucial to them for groups such as this.

Our media and government are working overtime to try and make Zelensky the greatest thing since warm bread. They're reminding me of the Shakespeare line in Hamlet "thou doest protest much." Something doesn't look right here to me.

WNU Editor,

This is generally a very good analysis. It would be helpful if all Americans had access to analysis such as this. The analysis put forth by our media and our government officials appear to be little more than a cheering section for Zelensky and Ukraine.

Very respectfully to the analysist on this video, I don't think he is properly accounting for deliberate deception on the part of the Russians. Essentially it works to Russia's advantage if our leadership deceives themselves into thinking things are going much better for Ukraine than they really are.

I hope Ukraine prevails here because I think they are the "good guys" relatively to the Russians in this conflict and our government has taken a breathtaking risk by going all in on Ukraine prevailing, Russia not achieving their goals, and Russia being weakened when the war finally does end. If this does not occur, they have needlessly placed all of us in even more danger.

As for the NATO argument, NATO was weak and disorganized before the Ukraine invasion. It seems highly unlikely this could have changed since the shooting war in Ukraine started. Russia has no right to tell Ukraine or any other country what social club they can join.
