Editor's Note

Taking a break for the rest of the day. I have been putting in long hours since the start of the Russia - Ukraine war, and I need to catch up on some rest and sleep. Blogging will return later today.

Russia Isn’t About to Attack Ukraine

"Moscow occupying its neighbor would be expensive, dangerous, and pointless."

"By Jeff Hawn, a doctoral candidate at the London School of Economics and Political Science’s department of international history."

In defense how could one predict that people from the president on down would be so supine?

NY Post Calls Out the 51 Former Senior Intelligence Officials including Former CIA Chiefs Who Openly Lied About Hunter Biden’s Laptop Being ‘Russian Disinformation’

Is Biden that stupid? Or is lying simply his default position? Rhetorical questions. What’s Matt Egan’s excuse?

Biden’s Tweeting minions included this graph, allegedly sourced from Bloomberg:

Why not just use EIA data? The EIA is part of the Department of Energy… part of the Executive Branch… The only branch of government that reports to Biden.

The Russians paved the way!

"What’s unclear to me is the moral platform from which Biden operates when he tells China not to support Russia. After all, America is doubling down harder every day in its support for Ukraine, from destroying Russia’s economy, to sending equipment and money to Ukraine, to giving the Ukraine military battlefield information courtesy of American satellites. "

The Soviet Union, although it did not take direct military action, provided intelligence and equipment support for Vietnam

" I can’t imagine anything more offensive than having Biden read me the riot act. Of course, Xi may tolerate it because he knows that China has already bought and paid for Biden, making everything Biden just said nothing more than kabuki theater."

Did Xi order Biden to sit, roll over or play dead during the call?

Is that why there is no transcripts from the Americans?

Musk's Starlink network proving to be invaluable to Ukraine

We're learning a lot from the Ukraine conflict. Tanks are little more than mobile coffins against Javelin etc, not too surprisingly. But some things were unexpected, like this.

Elon Musk's Starlink satellite system is giving Ukrainian forces the edge in winning the drone war as the nation fights back with technology to track down invading Russians. Aerorozvidka (Aerial Reconnaissance) is being used to attack Russian drones and target Vladmir Putin's army of tanks and track down their positions in the conflict, which has been ongoing since February 24, according to The Telegraph. Drones used in the field are able to use the newly available Starlink to keep connected and provide intelligence as internet and power outages plague Ukraine.

The so-far-successful implementation of the satellites into the defense of the war-torn nation makes good on a promise outspoken mogul Musk - who challenged Putin to a fist fight for the future of Ukraine earlier this week - made to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier in the month, that SpaceX will send more Starlink satellite stations to provide internet to some of the country's stricken cities.

Shortly after the invasion, Fedorov, who also serves as the country's vice-prime minister, had sent a tweet to Musk, asking to be given access to Starlink stations. Musk, currently valued at $232 billion according to the Bloomberg Billionaire‘s Index, responded just hours later: 'Starlink service is now active in Ukraine. More terminals en route.' Within days, trucks arrived at Ukraine hauling Starlink terminals, as well as adapters providing power via cigarette lighters in cars, or battery packs, and a roaming feature to ensure people are connected while they travel to safety.

B poster good to see that your much vaunted Russian army is mediocre at best and incompetent at worst

The Russian forces aren't my forces. I'm American and I want Ukraine to prevail which should be obvious by now. There would've been much more appropriate post threads to discuss this on.

So B Poster, you deny all your pro Putin posts going back to 2007 in Conservative Treehouse and other blogs including this one?

B.Poster said...

In 2007 I didn't think we could possibly beat Russia. While I don't recall specific posts, any recommendations would've been based upon such an assessment.

0bviously in 14 years much has changed. Fourteen years ago I'd have suggested try and add value to Putin. Its a good idea to try and be on good terms with powerful people.

I'm amazed I'm so important that anyone would recall Amy of my posts from 2007!! Wow?!!?

As I've said, I ho I hope and pray Ukraine wins.

You have been a Putin fanboy, since I first saw your posts in WNU around 2014/2015 (These were the ones I recall). When I went back to look back for your Putin schmoozefest posts. I fond all that other stuff further back.

If Putin was the strongest person in the world back in 2007, then 2011 Libyan invasion would not have happened. Libya was a Russian client state.

The Libyan situation pretty much worked out as Russia would've wanted with the US both losing and the US failing to achieve anytbing worthwhile. The proper decision, stay out of it!! We only made our situation worse by getting involved.

I'd suggest studying Sun Zu. Essentially Ronald Reagan and his team wisely ended the first cold war.

Bit of advice to my Russki friend, B Poster. I would suggest reading Lao Tzu before reading Sun Tzu.

You might be better off reading Sun Zoo.

Russia and Turkey are close allies. Essentially Turkey is going to do very little, if anything, without Russian approval

Turkey and Russia are on opposite sides of the Libyan War.

In Syria Turkey has military units and proxies in Syria a Russian client,

The Turks shot down a Russian plane.

Do you have to post so many times a day so that your boss won't ...
