A day after Iraq said it would host a fresh round of talks between the regional rivals, Iran announced they would not go ahead
Iran has suspended the latest round of talks with regional rival. Saudi Arabia, a website affiliated with Iran’s top security body has reported.
Iraq’s foreign ministry had announced on Saturday that it would host the talks on Wednesday. The Iraqi foreign minister, Fuad Hussein, revealed the development during remarks at a diplomatic forum in Antalya on Turkey’s southern coast cited by local media.
A foreign ministry spokesperson confirmed the comments to Reuters.
But a day later the website Nour news reported that “Iran has unilaterally suspended talks with Saudi Arabia”, without providing a reason. It said no specific date had been scheduled for a new round of talks.

One of my first questions was "How many of the 81 executed were Shia?".
Were they from the eastern provinces, which have large Shia populations?
Were the Yemenis executed Houthi?
If they were Shia, they could very well have been working for Iran. Or they could have been merely protesting, organizing, demonstrations and such.
To find such detail is often hard in the desert that is the media.
Maybe the Iranians broke off the meetings because they realize this is World War 3? Xi and Putin are not going to explicitly tell Khameini that this is it. Mussolini did not coordinate the invasion of Greece with Hitler.
Why negotiate JCPOA idiots and non-idiots (who are simply punching the clock) or about Yemen? It is World War 3.
What has Iran done?
1) Not negotiate in good faith with JCPAO
2) Attacked the US directly in Erbil with ballistic missiles.
3) Stopped negotiations with Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia could side with China although Iran is in the China Russia sphere of influence. Why? Because the US is dismissive and weak. They are not winning and show no inclination of winning. The US is still going full NAZI on its own citizens.

Is it weird that China might have Saudi Arabia and Iran as client states and mediate between them or lay down the law? Not at all.
