The Russians might have supply problems. They might not be able to supply all engaged units. So they put the ones in the North on the defense to reduce ammo requirements there and also to limit casualties. Meanwhile the Russians concentrate on the Donbas and their land bridge, which they really want.

Covering up their logistics problems with a supposed olive branch. It is putting lipstick on pig. It is still a pig.

Ever gamed out sim, where you could not supply all units? You have to pick and choose which units can engage in offensive combat operations. It limits what you can do.

If I were ISIS or AL Nusrah, I would engage the SA, Hezbollah, Iranians and Russians and push the hard.

It is noted that Russia and Turkey agreed to a cease fire in Libya where foreign elements would leave. Turkey lied. the Russians pulled out. They could not supply Syria, Libya and Ukraine.

Now is the time to push Russia.

Putin's boys didn't do very well in some areas. That's the reason for the drawback. Unacceptable losses. Time to try plan #2.
Militaries need to adjust to drones.

Time for NATO to provide long range artillery and drones for spotting targets.

Putin has big problems. He cannot lose otherwise...

Ingush–Chechen fratricide incident

"The Ingush–Chechen fratricide incident on 13 September 2006 resulted in the death of eight police officers, and the wounding of a further 20 when Chechen and Ingush policemen fired on each other on the border between the republics.

A motorcade of Chechnya's OMON special police buses was shot at as it was leaving Ingushetia, heading home with an Ingush prisoner. The Chechen OMON Chief of Staff, Buvadi Dukhiyev, was mortally wounded in the shootout.

Isa Kostoyev, a former high-ranking prosecutor and Ingushetian senator in the Federation Council of Russia, issued a call to the Ingushetians to resist Chechen police raids."
