* DIA Director Lt. Gen. Scott Berrier revealed the concerns in a report Thursday 

* The report on global threats noted that Putin would be likely to threaten use of nuclear weapons if Ukrainian defense forces continue to push back 

* It's also believed that Putin intends to 'overturn the U.S.-led rules based post-Cold War international order' and reclaim former Soviet territories 

* The report also notes that Russia claims to be developing missiles that are capable of circumventing Western defenses 

* It has already deployed non-nuclear weapons that come equipped with decoy projectiles, in a possible sign of what's to come 

* This is in order to 'ensure that Russia can credibly inflict unacceptable damage on the West' 

* At the St. Patrick's Day luncheon in the Capitol on Thursday, President Biden called Putin a 'murderous dictator' over Ukraine 

* Biden's latest war of words are the most direct at the Russian leader in the 21 days since the invasion 

Vladimir Putin will edge closer to deploying a nuclear attack if Ukraine continues its valiant pushback against the invasion of Russian troops, a top US defense official warned. 

Lieutenant General Scott Berrier, director of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency detailed the grim concerns in a new 67-page summary of global threats on Thursday. 

It raises the specter of a possible nuclear attack on Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital which has so-far resisted Russian advances, and said a desperate Putin posed a threat to the whole world.
