Sputnik: Finders Keepers: Watch Donbass Troops Train Using Captured Javelin, NLAW Anti-Tank Missiles

The US and its allies have reportedly delivered as many as 17,000 anti-tank weapons to Ukraine. Washington approved over $13.6 billion in additional assistance to Kiev on Tuesday, on top of over $3 billion in weapons aid sent earlier.

The Russian military has released footage showing Donbass troops training using captured Javelin and NLAW anti-tank missile systems.

“The captured Ukrainian military equipment and the weapons of Western countries is being transferred to the units of the People’s Militia of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics for use in hostilities against Ukrainian nationalists,” the Ministry of Defence said in a statement on Wednesday.

WNU Editor: NATO is flooding Ukraine with thousands of Javelins, NLAW anti-tanks missiles, and anti-air missiles. It should surprise no one that the Russian military is "capturing" a portion of these supplies. What is surprising is that after three weeks of war the Russian military/media are now starting to post videos on their battle field successes in the war. The above video included.

"Residents of newly-liberated town of Kazachi help Russian forces find weapons stashed by Ukrainian militants"

Not only will these revelations limit the effectiveness of the Iskander system in the future the wide spread abandonment of Russian military technology on the battlefield will hurt the Russian military effectiveness across the board. I’ve seen high end latest fielded EW and Air Defense systems behind many a farmers tractor, I’d bet they’re not going to stay in a barn forever.
Additionally, with sanctions the ability to recapitalize these lost systems will be more difficult. Russia attacked the country that makes one of its most plentiful armored vehicles the MTLB.
It’s a hot mess for the Russian military and while I do not doubt their ability to destroy Ukraine and occupy its major population centers the insurgency will bleed them worse than Afghanistan ever did…. Never has a potential insurgency been equipped with better weapons than the occupier.
Now Switchblade is being given to the Ukrainians. It’s a fair armored vehicle killer but a devastating sniper weapon against and individual. Russians occupy Ukraine and they will have to stay inside buildings 24/7. Get in a car….dead. Walk to your car…dead. Look out a window…dead. It’s a superb terror weapon and the Ukrainians will use every one they can get their hands on.
