Russia's leader Vladimir Putin is trapped in a closed world of his own making, Western spies believe. And that worries them.
For years they have sought to get inside Mr Putin's mind, to better understand his intentions.
With Russian troops seemingly bogged down in Ukraine, the need to do so has become all the more necessary as they try to work out how he will react under pressure.
Understanding his state of mind will be vital to avoid escalating the crisis into even more dangerous territory.

It's ok, western intelligence doesn't know whom themselves are.
After 20 years, if you don't know that's only because you don't want to know and that's convenient.
It's way easier for the IC to interfere in domestic US politics than understand Putin.

It’s really not that difficult and us in the west are not that stupid, Ukraine is an embarrassing clusterfuck for putin. Did he anticipate attrition or is he finally starting go through the final stages of every man? Many unknowns.
The main problem we have in the west is that we have been on a rainbow gravytrain ingoring all our propped up politicians while living an ok life thinking & hoping the 90’s will return. In the meantime we have well and truly been fukd in the ass by slimy keyboard operators/bio chemists/fauci/sons of elite/ politicians etc etc.they wouldn’t know a good time unless mother said so while leaving the hard yards to a small community. Many of us are not stupid, it is old news how to deal with ego’s like putin.
Now they have stopped hard men from working with this kung flu and turning us all against each other while mandating poison just to top the insult off. We can’t work, mother and father argue amongst each other because of these draconian measures, politicians won’t even mention it not to mention help. But magically we can find billions for Ukraine a clusterfuck we should of handled as adults back on 2014(not an American myself but the pedo hunter comes into play me thinks). But sadly no adults are to be found just soft handed weirdos that think they are the 1 and almighty. Shame on you all.
If we hang putin we sure as hell need to hang the puppet masters from the west at the same time. 1940’s all over again and again but with better toys, humans still the same.
