What Sanctions? Russia's Gazprom Says Europe Is Still Receiving Gas Exports Via Ukraine

WNU Editor: The Reuters article is here .... Russia's Gazprom says gas exports to Europe via Ukraine continue (Reuters).

I am surprised that these natural gas shipments are continuing.

Russia cannot get paid because of sanctions, and the Ukraine government will not get paid by Russia for transit costs.

The Ukraine government could demand payment from European customers of Russian gas (at least for the transport costs), but this would then break the current contract between Russia and these European countries. A contract that I am willing to bet Moscow would like to break right now.

A prediction. I expect these pipelines are going to be bombed/disabled in the coming weeks as the war continues to engulf the country, and no one is getting paid..

Leroy Merlin, Nestle, Renault—Here Are The Companies Under Fire For Russian Ties

I imagine Russia is keeping all of the receipts and plan on sorting out debts once the war is over.

Theoretically this could be used as leverage over Europe at some later point.

Russia is providing goods and services. For this they should get paid. Bankrupting Russia is a way to win, but if you can win in about the same amount of time and with about the same number of casualties, then bankrupting Russia is counterproductive. You will just have to pay as tax payers for a Marshall Plan and create unneeded suffering.

By conducting business and adhering to good business practices you can implement the Sullivan Principles. Or are those principles restricted to Africa?

When multinationals disengage (for a prolonged war they would have to it seems) order of operations is important. Multinationals that leave last or are given preferential treatment to go in first have competitive advantages that are politically decided. Obviously this wrong. It is interesting to see which multinationals and which politicians get rich off this.

Say it ain't so? Hoe does the son of a sitting senator join a national bank and make vice president in two years after graduating college? HUNTER!
