WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden announced another $800 million in military assistance on Wednesday following a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Biden said the latest weapons package would be a mixture of systems already deployed to the fight as well as “new capabilities tailored to the wider assault we expect Russia to launch in eastern Ukraine.”

WNU Editor: This new US military authorization followed by reports that Americans are now "in charge of the war "(link here) tells me that the Biden administration is getting more fully committed in this war against Russia.

To say this has all the trappings of "mission creep" is an understatement, and from what I am hearing and seeing on the news there is no opposition in the U.S. to put a stop to this growing involvement.

There's always money for this stuff. Anyone else wondering what the US's next 'Afghanistan' will look like when the Russians start giving insurgents surface to air missiles and anti-tank weapons? We thought Iraq was hard when Iran started funneling weapons over...it's going to be nasty.
