Reuters: Russia threatens legal action if forced into sovereign debt default
(Reuters) -Russia will take legal action if the West tries to force it to default on its sovereign debt, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told the pro-Kremlin Izvestia newspaper on Monday, sharpening Moscow's tone in its financial wrestle with the West.
"Of course we will sue, because we have taken all the necessary steps to ensure that investors receive their payments," Siluanov told the newspaper in an interview.
"We will present in court our bills confirming our efforts to pay both in foreign currency and in roubles. It will not be an easy process. We will have to very actively prove our case, despite all the difficulties."
Siluanov did not elaborate on Russia's legal options.

Suing is not avoiding default.
I think hybrid warfare is for chickenshit politicians, who do not have the cajones to explicitly go to war or the wisdom to make a good win-win deal.
Proxy war is the original chickenshit hybrid warfare of the Twentieth Century. The thought being is defeating you opponent by a thousand cuts or shifting the ground out beneath their feet, so they will find themselves in such a bad position that they must surrender without an actual balls to wall war or any declaration.
Let the Russians pay and do not make any new contracts. Thinking you are going to do some financial picadore thing to weaken them and then they will surrender ain't going to work.
Nailed it!!
Does the troll know what a 'picador' is?

War is powered by economy. Destroy the economy, and thusly the quality of resistance capability.
Yes it is timely.
The irony being the more Putin works to safeguard his "security" the weaker it has become.
One cant talk about security when invading a new sovereign nation every few years however.
Picador is a bull fighter on horseback who pricks a bull with a lance to weaken and goad it. While I might have used a different analogy, nevertheless it is a sound one and the observation that this won't work against Russia is also correct.
So Poster had to look it up. You would think that with his big $$$ and proximity to México, he would have been to one. I feel sad for you Poster. All those tutorials and you still can't troll. What ever is your government gonna do?
