Russia has 'unleashed chemical weapons on Mariupol' with Ukrainian troops claiming they were hit by an agent dropped by a drone leaving them unable to breath and dizzy - as the besieged city's mayor reveals more than 10,000 civilians in the conflict have died so far.
The unidentified agent is said to have been dropped on the southern port city from a Russian drone, according to unverified reports from the city's Azov regiment.
Details of the assault, via the Telegram messaging app, say a 'poisonous substance of unknown origin' has led to the city's defenders suffering from symptoms including breathing issues, 'respiratory failure' and 'vestibulo-atactic syndrome'.

The last gambit of the commanders trapped in Azovstal. This is what one of them, Kalina, said on a video uploaded this morning:

Two cargo ships and two Mil Mi-24 helicopters were lost trying to get them out last week and I suppose they now realize that conventional rescue simply is not an option. This will not draw US intervention and the Russians will not pause at this point to allow an international investigation just because we ask sternly.
There is a metabiota lab on the Azovstal premises as well as an animal testing facility. As well as a rumored 240 foreign non-ukranian nationals.
Azovstal's owner, billionaire oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, is a close associate of both Hunter & Zelensky. There are also a number of top leaders of both Azov and Right Sector in that plant and the Russians desperately want to capture some of them for their planned "nazi trials".
It looks like Azovstal is falling. Shelling was intense from 6-9AM and then a force of about 1500 tried to break out and were defeated about an hour ago.
All the Ukrainian and Russian social media accounts are now reporting on supposed mass surrenders of those unable or unwilling to join the breakout attempt. There is a well known British citizen who just surrendered in the last hour among them.

We have received reports that British volunteer Aiden Aslin, better known as CossackGundi, and other international volunteers in the Ukrainian Marines have chosen to lay down their arms to Russian forces in #Mariupol after running out of food and ammunition. A source close to Aiden who previously served with him in the YPG spoke with him on the phone, in which he said “I just spoke with [Aiden]. His unit is out of ammo and food. They have no other option but to surrender. He said he loves you all. He is strong in spirit and showed no weakness at all. He is surrendering to Russians which is only slightly better than surrendering to the Chechyns. Their commander will be meeting them soon. Please Lord have mercy." There is a short skype recording from just this morning of him talking about trying to get out of Mariupol for the last three weeks and being urged to find civilian clothing before turning himself over.
