As to what is my take on the head of the Wagner Group looking for recruits at Russian prisons. He is going to be very successful. I have met people who have served time in Russian prisons, and it is not a place you want to be. I would not be surprised if a good chunk of these long term prisoners (100,000 prisoners serving over ten years) will take the offer.
This is also nothing new. Ukraine did the same thing when the war started .... Ukrainian prisoners will be released from jail to fight in war (Washington Examiner)
