American Troops Preparing To Go To War With Russia

Newsweek: American Troops Prepared to Engage in War With Russia

A U.S. aircraft carrier is prepared to lead an international charge should Russia escalate attacks against Ukraine and its allies.

The USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77), christened in 2006 and delivered to the Navy in 2009, is in the Adriatic Sea leading Neptune Strike 2022—a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) deployment that tests deterrence and defense in the Euro-Atlantic area.

Allied and partner nations taking part include Albania, Canada, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Update: 'Ready for anything': US aircraft carrier crew training for war with Russia but aims to deter threats (SKY News)

WNU Editor: Is Ukraine vital to America's strategic interests? Is it enough to justify the US going to war with Russia over this region?

Sighhh .... so much has now been invested in this conflict by Western governments that I have to say yes.

But are European and American citizens as committed as their governments to go to war?

The polls say yes to providing aid .... Majority of Americans say U.S. should back Ukraine until Russia withdraws (Axios). But is there support for actually sending US forces to directly engage in war against Russia? To have an actual war with all the damage and destruction that it will cause on both sides? Maybe even resulting in a limited or massive nuclear exchange?

My gut says no.

 Am I right?

I think you're right. At least I hope so. To many people haven't experienced war or know those who have who suffer the consequences of these actions. There obviously aren't any strategic interests except perhaps to protect the nefarious business interests of the Biden's, Romney associates, and others that run contrary to American interests.

When Zelensky's friend former president Trump asked him and the Ukrainian government to investigate these things he acted in American interests and as a true friend of Zelensky and Ukraine. In using whatever leverage he had to try and facilitate this former president Trump acted with due diligence operating in America's best interests. When one is in a crisis and they diplomatically spit on their best friend as Zelensky and the Ukrainian government did, bitter fruit is to be expected.

There's certainly nothing in Ukraine worth this. Even if we somehow "win" we gain nothing of value and the risk is enormous. If the corrupt chump should actually win this...I see no possibility of that happening right now.

My Friend,
You are right on both counts.

a. "a lot has been invested by the west". Both political reputation and monetary support. The leaders and the other elites are, either fully supportive or have had their arms twisted to smile and wave. They do not want to back off.
b. Your Gut is also right..... "is there support for actually sending US forces to directly engage in war against Russia?" In reality maybe yes because there are a lot of people who get their news form MSM and do not have a whole picture of what is going on. The get the narrative the elites want them to have.
1. They have no idea of the destruction they will face or the danger their families are in....Petraus says NATO will attack with convention forces? Really, you are going to attack Russian forces in the Field? The slaughter on both sides will be horrendous.
2. Is Ukraine of any strategic value to the US? Yes as a buffer state or jump off point for war. Otherwise no. America has no vital interest in the Ukraine: not any tangible one at least.
3. I think a Lot of people in the US want no part of this mess. I don't trust polls. Who did they interview and what part of the country

So yes, you are right on both counts...The average Joe wants nothing to do with this. But the current leaders in the "Capital Region". are alll for it.

So will we go to war? I hope to God not..... but we will see.

Ukraine will never win. Stop funding instable Ukraine efforts to prolong the fight, it's only going to turn dirty...

It'll turn dirty and Putin's pampered ass will never withstand a home heated by a wood burning stove.

...said the dupe with a pocketful of printed money wondering how he's going to heat his home this winter.

Who said I hear my home? There is this new invention called insulation. Garage stays 10 degrees above the outside air and it has no heating.
