The war in Ukraine has supplied a lucrative shop window for arms manufacturers, creating some unlikely winners amid a surge in demand for heavy weaponry.
Weapons such as Javelin anti-tank missiles, Bayraktar drones, and the Himars rocket launcher have achieved global renown, promoted in memes, songs, and enthusiastic endorsements from Ukrainian officials.
The major US manufacturers such as Lockheed Martin and Raytheon enjoyed share price surges after the outbreak of war, as did European counterparts BAE Systems and Rheinmetall. But they are very far from the only game in town.
