Euronews/Reuters: World's dash for natural gas endangers climate goals -report
SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt – Countries scrambling this year to source more natural gas to replace supplies from Russia are risking years of emissions that could thwart climate goals, the research collaboration Climate Action Tracker said on Thursday.
Efforts to stave off disastrous climate change collided this year with a global energy crisis of scarce gas and soaring fuel prices, as Russia sharply cut gas deliveries to Europe following its Feb. 24 invasion of Ukraine.
“We’re witnessing a major push for expanded fossil gas LNG production and import capacity across the world – in Europe, Africa, North America, Asia and Australia – which could cause global emissions to breach dangerous levels,” said Bill Hare, CEO of research institute Climate Analytics, which together with NewClimate Institute forms Climate Action Tracker (CAT).

Climate activists are Russian stooges. They need to be deported to Russia. If the Russians send them to the gulags, oh well.
Russia funded the Green putsch in Germany. Eagerly hanging themselves with their own suicidal ideology.
Gas emits half as much carbon than coal does. That's how USA and Germany were able to reduce their emissions so drastically in the last 20 years.
Amusingly the Greens are approving the reopening of dirty mothballed coal plants in lieu of objectively cleaner, more efficient gas plants.
I guess for the eco activists the war against Russia is more important than saving the entire planet. Go figure.
The eco-terrorists and alarmist overestimate warming trends by at least 2X.
Any German coal plants will be a blip compared to Chines or Indian output.
