Reuters: Europe is too dependent on China for technologies, Finland's PM says
HELSINKI (Reuters) -Europe is currently too reliant on China for technologies and should be wary of this dependency, Finland's Prime Minister Sanna Marin said on Thursday.
"Let's be honest, we have vulnerabilities already. We see it when we look at chips or semiconductors, we are too dependent," Marin said, speaking at Slush, an annual startup event in Helsinki.
Marin said Europe had lessons to learn from its dependency on Russian energy that led to the ongoing energy crisis in Europe, as well as the lack of medical supplies seen during the COVID pandemic.

Everything in Finland for regular folks is made in China
Actually, China, as with the rest of the world, is dependent on American ingenuity for technology. Specifically, computer chips. Yes, they are often manufactured elsewhere (Taiwan, etc), but their actual development and licensing, for the most part, originates in America. China does not have the ability to manufacture its own computer chips, let alone develop them. But they do excel at stealing and cloning Western ideas.
I wish something of hers was too dependent on something of mine for something.
By which I mean that her face is really, to me, beautiful.
