In A Sign That Nuclear Tensions Are Rising, A US Nuclear Ballistic Submarine Has Entered The Mediterranean

Daily Express: World’s largest nuclear submarine leaves Gibraltar to make way for Black Sea

The USS Rhode Island left port in the British overseas territory amid concerns of a Russian false flag operation.

The world’s largest nuclear submarine has been spotted leaving Gibraltar under intense protection from the Royal Marines as it reportedly heads towards the Black Sea.

The USS Rhode Island’s departure comes as fears grow over what Vladimir Putin will do after another humiliating retreat.

Yesterday, the Russian President called for civilians to leave Kherson in the south of Ukraine due to the advancing counter-offensive on the occupied city.

Update: U.S. nuclear submarine dubbed ‘rider of the apocalypse’ enters the Mediterranean -- Asia Markets

WNU Editor: I am skeptical that Turkey will permit the USS Rhode Island to cross the Bosporus Strait to Enter the black Sea. Turkey has made it very clear that they will permit no warships to cross the strait with the current war now underway.

But should it cross and enter the Black Sea. I will consider such a move as proof to me that US nuclear forces are now at Defcon 2.

No reason to enter the Black Sea given its missiles have a range exceeding 2000 miles. There are no capital ships worth its time in the Black Sea for its torpedoes to sink. Is this deployment a major threat to Russia? Yep, but no indication of DEFCON rising.

They could just as easily launch from the Baltic or from the North Cape.

All 3 areas probably has some anti-sub threat to launching subs from air, surface or other subs. A Black Sea launch may complicate defense. Maybe.

If there was a Hunter tape, now would be the time to play it. The Democrats are going to dump Biden soon so the tapes might not age well.

Think of it as a pool table. Things are not going well. Kind of like a break shot. Bust the balls up and see what shakes. The current American Regime is corrupt. Bust them up, so maybe some new blood gets in.

Are we seriously considering nuclear war for the sake of Ukraine?

Are we seriously considering nuclear war for the sake of (fill in the blank)?

How about Czechoslovakia?

You should never let an aggressive expansionist power expand. Sooner or later they look you way.

The missiles have a range of more 8000 miles. They are not going into the black sea.
I am sure they are at defcon 3 right now ever since Putey started makes nuke threats.

"No reason to enter the Black Sea given its missiles have a range exceeding 2000 miles." - what they said. It is definitely a muscle flexing or a signal but not necessary for launching ICBMs

Why do you guys think range isnt important? Less range to your target means less minutes for impact and less time for the Russians to react or retaliate. So don't give me that "they have 2000-8000 miles range" time is valuable in a first strike. If the Russians can't see rockets incoming they are forced to fold. Even worst, when they just thinking a first strike is imminent. For example through human error or a rising moon. This submarine getting into the black sea means high alert for Russia.
