Energy trade between Russia and China has been steadily growing and is up 64% in monetary terms so far this year, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak told the Rossiya 24 TV channel on Friday.
His comments followed a meeting of the intergovernmental Russian-Chinese commission on energy cooperation. “China is our strategic partner in the Asia-Pacific region and generally in trade,” he said, noting that in physical terms the increase was about 10% in supplies of oil, gas, coal, and electricity.

China is going to abandon Russia for being a loser. Xi will cut his losses and won't fall for sunk cost fallacy of supporting Russia.
The Bullshit already starting in Kherson. It is of the AT&T type. I was wondering, when it would start and it has started.
I have read that the Soviet doctrine of Deep Battle is superior the Blitzkrieg. Let's take that for granted for sake of argument. So the Soviet General Staff are pretty smart. So what the hell happened since then? They are not trading 1 for 1. They are doing much worse. They are literally getting the hell beat out of them.
They say the Ukrainians can be in Crimea sometime in March. That looks feasible given the results. See a lot of shaping going on. The Russian general staff is concerned according to ISW. In February or March we will see the Russian frigates leave Sevastopol.
I have no idea what Wagner is doing. It is a mystery. Are they trying to bleed the Ukrainians white in Donetsk and Luhansk? IDK, but they certainly are not gaining ground in Donetsk. They are suppose to be professional.
The Ukrainians can already hit Sevastopol from Kherson. Gaining the east bank will cut 20 miles, but it probably is not worth it currently given Russian air defenses. It would probably be a waste of ordinance. Of course the Russians would have to expend theirs as well.
I do know this is big waste. It is a terrible waste of lives. War needs to start and end with the head.

No fan of the current world order, but it has more or less kept the peace for the last 70 years. With the way both Russia and China are blatently abusing their neighbors, I doubt they will fare better than what currently exists. As distasteful as America's economic threats can be, for many countries it's probably preferable to the hard boot heel of Putin or Xi stomping on their necks.
For WNU's analysis he thinks that Russia is gaining influence of its activity though seems failed to admit that this war is a total mess.
Sooner or later Russia will be rewarded by its own destruction.
