Russia Launches Large Scale Air Strikes Against Ukraine's Electrical Grid (Again)

Irish Examiner: Situation 'critical' as Russian airstrikes target energy infrastructure across Ukraine

Russian airstrikes targeting energy facilities have rocked Ukraine, causing power blackouts.

A senior official warned that the situation was “critical” and urged Ukrainians to “hang in there” as neighbourhoods went dark.

The aerial assault, which resulted in at least one death in a residential building in the capital, Kyiv, followed days of euphoria in Ukraine sparked by one of its biggest military successes in the nearly nine-month war — the retaking last week of the southern city of Kherson.

Supposedly going to snow on Thursday and again all weekend. So far the temp has always dipped back up into the positives during the day, but that's over starting this week.

The two missiles were S-300's. The Rescue Service of Poland has already (accidentally?) published photographs showing they were S-300's, and the Polish PM has been quoted saying:

"I urge you not to publish unconfirmed information" - Polish government spokesman Piotr Müller

"The information that will be presented at the committee will be brought to the public's attention later, if possible, to the maximum extent" the press secretary said.

It's impossible for them to have been fired from Russian held territory due to lack of range. They were fired by the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces in an attempt to intercept the missiles which hit Lviv's power stations this morning, and missed their targets.

Unless you expect Poland to declare war on Kiev I wouldn't pack my bags just yet.

Missiles could have been fired form Belarus.

It would not be the first time the dastardly Russians attacked Ukraine from a neutral country.

That true I suppose, though now we're actively reaching for an alternative explanation aside the obvious one staring everyone in the face.

"S-300V4 missiles have a range of 400 km at Mach 7.5"

400 km is 248.5 miles

From Novye Yurkovicho to Krasnyi Kamen is 698 km

Have to see where it landed and probable flight path.

Ukrainian missile, not an Ukrainian missile, Russia is still responsible.

During the Vietnamese War there was a self imposed restriction to not bomb within 25 miles pf the Chinese-Vietnamese border. Cannot Russia do something of the same sort? Heck no. These are the Russkies we are talking about. Worse than NAZI dogs.

Maybe that wasn't a winning strategy in restrospect.

Looking at the map where Przewodów, Poland is, where Belarus is, where Russia is, Where Kyiv is, I bet the SCUZZY MOTHER FRACKERS overflew Belarussian air space to make range and avoid Kyiv air defenses.

Usually you defend your capital and work out. So my assumption is that Russia would avoid over flying Kyiv except for missiles targeting the Kyiv environs.

Avoiding Kyiv would put a curve in the path of missiles transiting to Lviv. They overflew Belarus.

Ergo, Russia committed a war crime.

Ergo, Russia must go.

That's a lot of conspiracy theory to avoid the obvious explanation.

Using an old AA missile in a highly unusual surface-to-surface attack, at the exact same moment that 90 missiles (of the type actually built for s2s attacks) were also launched in the area, using a flight path that is still 245km longer than is technically possible. All to attack two farmers and a grain truck.

You're right. We need to launch the nukes now.

We don't know for sure the missiles were S-300. Assume that they were. Assume that they were Ukrainian. No problem. Russia is still to blame.

I would like to see the missile track data of the interceptors and the Russian missiles.

If the Russian missiles were not S300's, it does not preclude them flying over Belarussian air space and thus committing a war crime.

The reasons for going to war against Russia or nuking are innumerable.

Yes your wildest dreams come true. Now go out there and Launch without Warning. I double dog dare you!?

Wildest dreams? No. The US cut its nuclear arsenal below that of the USSR. Of course the dogs at the Kremlin take that as weakness. Find out bitch.
