MOSCOW, November 2. /TASS/. Russia perceives Norway's military preparations near its borders as a course on escalation of tensions in the region, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Wednesday.
"Foreign military bases actually appeared in Norway on a permanent basis. The corresponding infrastructure has been modernized, modern equipment is being purchased, and Oslo is now among the most active supporters of NATO's involvement in the Arctic," she said,
"We consider such developments near Russian borders as Oslo's deliberate pursuit of a destructive course toward escalation of tensions in the Euro-Arctic region and the final destruction of Russian-Norwegian relations."

I mean OMG a spy plane might see a Russian troop build up near Norway. Can't have that.
You know, its funny how things work. Who would have guessed as little as 3 years ago that the swedes and finns would apply to NATO. I mean why would they? Being neutral has a lot more advantages than being part of a controling alliance and for the most part out of the invasion threat. And fof the most part this situation made the prophecies of Anton Johannson unbelievable. But now the world has changed. Maybe he will be right in the end. Strange times.
