If China blockades the smaller islands, the US should enforce an economic, cultural and political embargo on China.

Unpredictable? Yes.
Harmful to economies of all involved? Yes

But why not. Jackasses, WEC, Master of the Universe did not care, when it came to COVID.

Embargo and roll the dice. See how much risk Xi is willing to take.

I bet someone believes the educational rankings, where the top 30% of students in one country are compared to 100% of the students from another country.

Back in the day it is alleged that villagers only knew their own village and the next village over in any direction. One author also wrote that if a person was enrolled into a medieval army and the army was disbanded, the person most likely stayed in the area and adapted linguistically and otherwise.

I think what a person knows geographically etc is proportional to their social class and/or profession. It has always been that way.

Literacy and schooling of the late 19th and early 20th centuries giving broad swathes of people a vast scope of knowledge is a fluke. or at least politicians are making it that way.
