RFE: UN Condemns Attack On Russian-Controlled Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Plant As Moscow, Kyiv Trade Blame
The UN's nuclear watchdog has condemned attacks on the Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant in southeastern Ukraine, as Moscow and Kyiv traded blame.
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) head Rafael Grossi on November 20 said that "powerful explosions" hit the nuclear plant on the evening of November 19 and again early on November 20, and demanded that whichever country was behind the attacks cease them immediately.
Such attacks on Europe's largest nuclear plant, Grossi said, risked a major nuclear disaster.

The Ukraine government argument is that Russia is bombing the nuclear plant to make sure that there will be no electricity for Ukraine. So if Kyiv is to be believed, Russian soldiers are bombing an installation that is guarded by Russian soldiers.

The UN's nuclear watchdog has 4 personnel at the site. When this war is over is when we will learn officially on who they believed was responsible for this attack.

Ah yes, the same Russia that sent untrained kids into the frontline and is now sending criminal conscripts... Are above and beyond bombing the plant to force a Russian narrative.

I agree with 2:52. Not sure who did, but my odds are 70/30 (maybe more 80/20 or 90/10) that Russia is at fault. I figure if the Russians cannot blame Ukraine they at least want to cast doubt.

There is a continuum between sinner and saint. Ukraine is to the right of center and Russia is to the left of center.
If Russian was 10 points to the left of center and Ukraine was 10 points to the right of center, I would pick Ukraine and not wring my hands as much as you.
Myself, I have stated that I find the whole kultur and language thing a red herring at worst and unworthy of war at best. If language rights were a problem, Russia should have gone to the UN in a big way. Then they good go to war with better moral standing. But they did not do that.
I also do not find the Russian treatment of ethnic Tatars in Crimea any better and probably much worse than what the Russians accused the Ukrainians of.
I have stated that Crimea belongs to Russia. That would get me hated by 50% to 60&% of people. I have also stated that maybe due to this stupid war, we may need a plebiscite to decide it now. Who would ethnic Tatars choose, Ukraine or Russia? I think you could make a case that ethnic Russians in Crimea might choose Ukraine.

if there was a major accidentat the plant the Ukies could not do cleanup or restoration work in thier territory under current war conditions. They would need help. They would ask for help. Who would they ask? The West.
Who in the west does this type of help? There are small groups And agencies, but the heavy work is done by military organizations. , The ukies and ruskies know this
Who wants to see the West/ nato into that area? Who has been calling for it.
You now have a logical common sense answer of who is bombing the plant. It is in the intererest of the ukies to do this.
An aside. Yes in a few years we will really know. The intel agencies know already. They are silent .
That also tells me the ukies are doing this. Because if it was the Russians the west would be screaming bloody murder.
This is the game i have seen over the years.
