Maintaining an empire is expensive

Is going after Pancho Villa maintaining an empire?

A newspaper study like this is for a slow news day or for a slanted narrative.

Is going after Pancho Villa and different than the Russo-Afghan War or the Second Chechnyan war?

A reason for the Russian backed coup in 1979 in Afghanistan was that people were crossing the border and proselytizing in the USSR.

A reason for the 2nd Chechnyan War other than to reestablish old border, a grudge match or prestige was Beslan and similar attacks.

A reason for one of the Dacian Wars, the Dacian King kept crossing the border and pillaging a much larger empire. So is that on Rome or Dacia?

For such an exercise by a newspaper/rag to be useful they compare a similar sized country and or categorize each war or incident.

We get one of these stories by the presstitutes and WNU about once a year.

If it is not this, then it is the number of US bases.

When was the last time a uranalist or a presstitute did a side by side comparison of the number of Chinese bases and American bases? The most a flexible and nubile presstitute has done is comparisons of armies in terms of men, artillery tubes and tanks. Has there been a comparison of incidents/wars? Or have such comparisons been so few or long ago as to be forgettable?

What about Chinese incidents and war? Some of those are good reading for a slow newsday. There was a Chinese diplomat a few or several hundred years ago that was insulted or China affronted. This was in the Himalaya region. The diplomat went to several nearby kingdoms and requested men and got them. the diplomat white his new army defeated the king who had insulted him. NOW that is PRESTIGE and economy of force!

IMO journalism is dead or should be dead and be replace with an analytics subscription of data a person or household needs. Just thin a budding journalist would need to be retrained to work with numbers.

Providing military assistant to Uganda, DRC, and CAR to combat LRA is wrong. Gotta let
Joseph Kony. It is okay to holdup a sign at a university to win your stipes or to make a documentary about Kony, but to actually hunt him down to kill him or take to The Hague, well that is just wrong man.

And may Obama thought so too. Cuz Obama pulled all assets right as Kony was being cornered and run to the ground.

Of course Obama had a lame ass, sorry excuse. He said Africans had to solve African problems. He did not say that, when he broke Libya into tiny little pieces!

Where is Libya again? Oh yeah, Africa!

hundreds of interventions and Yes! Obama! forget all that came before Obama was even in college. Focus on Obama!he is the cause of all our interventions and bases we have all over the world.

I mentioned some interventions that were necessary. Like going after Pancho villa or the LRA.

I mentioned Libya because it probably unnecessary, backstabbing and wrong on many levels.

We had Kony cornered in CAR and Obama packed up and went away. It is almost as if Obama wants Kony to kill a few ten thousand more Africans maimed or murdered. Cornered.

Obama opined that Africans must take responsibility. in the same w or 3 year period he broke Libya. That is inconsistent. That is part of what is so egregious.

If you generalize things, one might see the documentaries, college marches etc, about Kony as having the same religious fervor as the 2 religious revivals in early 19th century America. All that religious fervor and then the Crusade against a mass murderer is halted and not for lack of money. Strange.

Bush had an agreement with Quadafi. Guaddaffi gave up WMDs and state sponsored terrorism and sanctions would be lifted. So the US took the WMDs and then Obama attacked. He attacked, broke the country into pieces and then left. No reconstruction or reconciliation.

like all things Obama is s a stinky gift that keeps on giving. IF Libya were not broken , Turkey would not have entry to make the trans Mediterranean oil grab that it is now attempting. So we are still living with.

Also Libya was a Russian client state. We took out an ally of Russia unprovoked. What is Russia suppose to think?

I am unaware of any Libyan provocations from about 2004 until 2011 against the US.

It was the UN and many nations that got involved in Lybia. and there was this justification:
2011 military intervention in Libya

Anonymous said...

The justification was R2P. the intervention would no have happened without the Us. The US was essential. France, Italy, Germany and Britain would never have gone in without the US.

Hillary, Obama and Samantha Power called it smart power. They went in, broke a country and then left. That is called smart power.

Somehow the Pottery Barn Rule applies when there is a Republican president but not a Democrat president.

The result of Power's R2P were actual, modern day slave markets popped up in Libya. there is a refugee crisis threatening to swamp Europe in the same manner that the Migration of the 5th century doomed Rome.

For the record 1:04, you are an idiot.

Ya bitches.... Of the current 200 nations in the world, the British have invaded and conquered all but 22 of them. Haha! Yankie doodles have some learning and catching up to do.

"Can the personal bitching everyone."

Screw that. We are still living with the wreckage of Obama

Bush invaded Iraq. We had no peace treaty with Iraq. We had an armistice, which Iraq had violated many times. Iraq has an at least semifunctioning government and an elected parliamentary body.

Big Difference between Bush and Obama who practiced smart power.
