President Joe Biden is celebrating his 80th birthday at the White House on Sunday with a family brunch to mark him becoming the first octogenarian in the Oval Office.
But as he blows out the candles, 50 years after he was sworn into the Senate, the questions about his age and fitness for office will remain as he considers his future and faces calls to step aside for someone younger.
The low-key party after his granddaughter Naomi's wedding on the South Lawn on Saturday comes at a time when he and the American public are faced with the prospect of six more years of a Biden administration - if he runs in 2024 and wins.
