U.S. Republicans Win Control Of The House Of Representatives


The Republican Party has officially taken the majority in the House of Representatives . The GOP secured the 218 seats needed to flip control from the Democrats on Wednesday evening, eight days after midterm elections night

* It is a slimmer majority than the GOP would have liked after under-par midterms 

* Republicans can now put up roadblocks to Biden's agenda over next two years 

* Top GOP members have also warned they will open probes into Biden's family 

* McCarthy still must secure 218 votes in January to become Speaker 

* Narrow majority is expected to give leverage to Freedom Caucus and MTG 

The Republican Party has officially taken the majority in the House of Representatives – but by a far narrower margin that Republicans were gunning for going into the elections. 

The GOP secured the 218 seats needed to flip control from the Democrats on Wednesday evening with a win in California's 27th Congressional district, eight days after midterm elections night. 

The result came eight days after Election Day – after it emerged that Republicans were going to fall far short of their hopes and expectations of a 'red wave' election that would repudiate the Democrats and empower their own agenda.

This just cements what the next two years would have produced Tsunami or not. An ineffective government.

Most people would have used the word gridlock instead of ineffective. If I were a troll, I would use ineffective, because it has a bad connotation.

What it means is that due to congressional investigations or their threat that Democrats won't passed so many hair brained and downright evil legislation such universal clot shot or mandatory CRT training.
