Russia and the US are discussing resuming their nuclear weapon reduction talks in the coming weeks.
Talks between the two sides on strategic nuclear weapons have been non-existent since Russia invaded Ukraine on February.

Sure the Russians can stir the pot. They can help keep American politics roiled. So we elected demented Biden and Senator stroke victim and trust fund baby Fetterman.
* Sure Fetterman is not the Russians fault. No way, no how. but would the Democrats have continued to run him, if Joe had not been selected?
* Biden and Fetterman call almost zero shots. I don't say zero, because Biden might be able to choose the flavor of his next ice cream cone and on his good days call in favors at the DOJ to get hunter off the hook.
* So the Russians have to get to and analyze everyone on their staffs to see, who the leader of if leadership is more diffuse. It complicates their analysis. It take longer and the margin of error is much greater.
But The Russians helped bring about the Clintons and Bidens. So now the Russians are n the crazy train with them and are bitching about it. I do not feel sorry for them.
People accuse the pharmaceutical companies and the medical establishment of not curing disease, because there is not as much money as perennially treating it. Some of it may be true, but it mostly bitching or scientist being stupid and going up blind alleys.
Have the Russians considered that they will be talking to American diplomats, who might value the process more than actual agreements. In the commercial world could you continually burn money and time and not actually turn a profit? Have we not seen American diplomats palaver for 2 years and get nowhere with the Iranians. Because of this they have been accused of valuing process over results. Does the accusation ring true?
So these American diplomats sitting across form the Russian diplomats do care. They will express all the right concerns. Virtue signal to a "t". End tweets with all the right emojis. But do they really care?
Abraham Accords got done quickly. They were criticized. They were criticized and then Democrats tried to piggyback on them. But the diplomats who got the Abraham Accords done were not out cast or lower caste people in the American establishment.

In both cases you have "thankyou for your service to the party, but please do not run again" politicians who are flush with cash. That has to factor into their thoughts for taking a shot at higher office.
If they had to solely or mostly have to rely on contributions from pepole, who are ideological partners but don't see them as charismatic or having baggage, those two would not have left the starting gates.
There is no Steele dossier on criminals Hillary and Joe, but there ought to be. Only difference is that Steele dossier would be factual.
