New Mossad Chief To Apologise For Use Of UK Passports In Dubai Killing -- The Telegraph

The new head of Israel's secret service, Mossad, is ready to apologise for the use of forged British passports during the assassination of a leading Hamas militant in Dubai.

My Comment: This is a very uncharacteristic move on the part of Mossad. To apologize for the unauthorized use of British passports is something that I thought they would never even think of doing .... this is definitely a change in operational policy.

The following quote from the Ynet article:

" The Telegraph cites agency sources as saying that he objected to using fake British, Australian, and Irish passports though he left his post in June of 2009, six months before the assassination."

indicates that perhaps the source is from British Foreign Office or Intel circles and is designed to try and influence future policy, not a change of policy of the Mossad.
