President Trump Reads The 'Riot Act' To The U.S. Navy

FOX News: Trump declares Navy will not take away Eddie Gallagher's SEAL Trident, as attorney blasts admiral

The attorney for Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher said on "Fox & Friends" Thursday that the Navy is trying to humiliate his client by potentially taking away his SEAL Trident, as President Trump reaffirmed his support for the embattled soldier.

"This is an action that they could have taken at any time from July right after the verdict, until today," his lawyer Tim Parlatore said. "President Trump takes action on a Friday afternoon — Monday morning, the admiral [Adm. Collin Green] comes in and brings everybody together and says 'I disagree with the president, we're going to take his Trident.'"

WNUJ Editor: This is not going to end with this tweet. You do not violate the military chain of command even if you are a senior admiral. Senior naval officers made a decision to ignore President Trump's pardon of Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher by punishing him via the removal of his SEAL designation. There will be consequences for this, starting with the replacement of the admiral who pushed for it (Adm. Collin Green).

A branch of the military finally does something right and they get pummeled for it. So now the Trident PIN loses some prestige?

Now Trump is politicizing the military. Banana republic dictatorship shit.

Wrong, both of you. Ignorant and petulant as well. What this is, is clear insubordination by senior officers in the US Mil. The chain of command exists even when evil President Trump is POTUS. They broke it and should be removed. They don't like Trump? Well get in line.

Obama era ROE were a hindrance and a danger to war fighters. Putting them in impossible positions and punishing them autocratically. The Pentagon is teeming with flag officers who view themselves with massive self-importance. Many of whom advanced to their current station under Obama.

They're now more politician/bureaucrat than they are warrior.

Let’s go through the history books and see if ever a President has interfered in the legal workings of a military trial.

Yes anon, let's. And while we're at it we can go thru the very recent history books and find us a completely blinkered officer corps. An officer class riddled with back-stabbers, political hacks and self-puffing ladder climbers.

Trump ought to call a meeting with that entire chain of command and start at the top. "Will you reinstate everything and cease the harassment? No? I accept your resignation."

Work his way down until he gets the desired answer. Clear those shit “leaders” out.
