Almost 700 Sailors Aboard The French Aircraft Carrier Charles de Gaulle Are Infected With The Covid-19 Coronavirus

France 24: A third of French aircraft carrier crew have Covid-19, says defence ministry

A third of the nearly 2,000 sailors who were aboard France's aircraft carrier and support craft when a coronavirus outbreak occurred at sea have tested positive for the virus, the defence ministry said on Wednesday.

With two-thirds of test results in, 668 sailors from the Charles-de-Gaulle and escort vessels in its battle group are confirmed to have the virus, it said.

Thirty-one were being treated in hospital, and one was in intensive care, a ministry statement said.

Last week, it was decided to bring the Charles-de-Gaulle home 10 days early from a deployment in the Atlantic after some crew members showed coronavirus symptoms.

Such a nice first strike weapon, rendering all navies - except China's of course - nearly 20-30% below their previous service rate, and the worst might still come.
Funny, that bat virus. How it struck just when Phase 1 of this historic trade deal between China and the US hit.

China better be careful. 180 countries are pissed, and much much muccch stronger than China - economically, militarily and we've also got the better music bands! China ain't got any good hard rock! So they won't win :P

The common cold spreads easily.

10% to 15% of common colds are corona viruses not rhino viruses.

Probably the only way not to get this is become a hermit or commit suicide.

You know how livestock get TB? Birds shit in the fields. So unless you are going to kill all the rats with wings and all the normal rats good luck.

This virus is not that deadly. The thing is that being human, we don't off the old the weak and the sick. Those of us, who aren't democratic-socialists.

Since we don't off the weak and the old, the human population has a high fuel load just like a crowded forest with old and sick trees. We've been bending the curve for a long time and we can keep bending it if we innovate and produce. Paying for 20% of the population to be on welfare isn't it.

Well, on the bright side in about a month this crew will be immune to the virus.
