Investigators fear a £100million F-35 fighter jet crashed into the Mediterranean while taking off because the cheap rain covers had not been taken off properly.

Officials believe the rain cover was sucked into the F-35B Lightning II stealth plane's engine as it took off from the flight deck of the HMS Queen Elizabeth, forcing the pilot to eject.

Naval personnel reported seeing the cover floating in the sea nearby Britain's flagship aircraft carrier after the accident in the Mediterranean on Sunday.

Such a careless accident reveals the training and readiness of the British military is poor. It should not be difficult to identify the Officer of the Deck who allowed this stupidity to occur, and remove them from the military as unfit. My guess: a woman was to blame. Women are constitutionally incapable of performing effectively in the military, yet Western nations have caved to the feminist forces and integrated them into the armed forces, to their great determent.

The ground crew is to blame or so it seems. So are the procedures or the pilot.

Fun fact: The cheap rain covers are not cheap and the more expensive one save you money.
