WNU Editor: I buy stuff from Canadian Prepper and I follow his YouTube channel. In his video today (link here) he informs his followers that the Red Cross wants to buy his complete stock of MREs, and to have it shipped immediately to Ottawa. It looks like the police are going to move in and break-up this protest, and they are expecting mass arrests. Hence the need for MREs.
I agree with Canadian Prepper that this police action is probably going to happen in the next 48 hours.
Sighhh .... my gut is telling me that this is not going to end well. A lot of average Canadians are going to get a quick lesson on what happens when an authoritarian government unleashes the power of the state and law enforcement on them.
On a personal note. I have been going to Ottawa each Saturday to be a witness to what is happening. I am not going this weekend.
With Prime Minister Trudeau imposing the Emergency Act, the police now have the authority to arrest people arbitrarily, and they have the power to detain them for an indefinite length of time without due process.
I cannot be in a position to be arrested and locked away for a few weeks (or longer). Too many people are dependent on me, including my 95 year-old mother who suffers from dementia.
