Ekathimerini: Zelenskyy urges Greece to use its influence in EU to help Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on Greece on Thursday to use its influence in the European Union to help save “our shared heritage” in the besieged Ukrainian port city of Mariupol.
Addressing the Greek Parliament via teleconference, the Ukrainian leader said there are thousands of people trapped in Mariupol, noting that the city has been almost completely destroyed.
He said the Russian military have bombed hospitals, theaters and houses. “The suffering in both the Greek and Ukrainian communities is great from the barbarity against the civilian population,” Zelenskyy told lawmakers.

In Ukraine:
There are ethnic Greek members of Azov.
There are ethnic Ukrainian members of Azov.
I really think people like The Pig have not learned much about psychology or sociology.
When one finds out that the Waffen SS included ethnic Germans, Dutch, Danes, Flemish, Walloons, French, Italians, Austrian, Hungarians, UKRAINIANS, Romanians, Bulgarians, Latvians, Croatian, Albanians, Belarussians, Greeks, Czechs, Estonians and even Russians. Then you would realize that the Nazis were in some ways like the EU, especially when viewed from the perspective of the war and realpolitik.
Some people joined the SS not out of patriotism or racism, but to obtain better treatment in a post war Europe when Germany looked like it was winning.
I know, that's kind of the point actually. Ultimately, I'm just pointing out how the Azov Battalion having ethnic Ukrainians and Greeks isn't enough to dismiss the claims it being a Neo-Nazi formation, and also an alternative perspective on this Europe uniting to support Ukraine while heaping hatred and disgust on ethnic Russians situation.
Pretty interesting article to me. All I'll add is Mariupol is a total mess and disaster level situation for those still trapped there. The images remind me a little of some WW2 scenes and much more recently a bit like Bosnia/Kosavo in the late 90's where my brother served.
