Western democracy and culture are destructive, every fourth Russian says 

The number of Russians who believe Western values to be beneficial to the country has fallen drastically in the last 20 years, according to a poll conducted earlier this month by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) and published on Tuesday. 

“The West is not only a culture, but a whole system of socio-political and economic patterns and models,” wrote the pollsters, noting while Russian society largely looked to the West in the 1990s, it has since changed its attitude towards Western values.

WNU Editor: I would not use the word "disillusioned". I would use the word contempt. And this is a radical change from just 20 years ago. 

When Russians look at the West today they see homeless camps in the cities. No go zones for police. Urban teenagers graduating high school who are illiterate. Promoting social values that many do not identify with. Many struggling to afford the basics. And forget about making enough to afford a home.
