CNBC: The U.S. Army is struggling to find the recruits its needs to win the fight over the future

* The U.S. Army. fell short of its 2022 recruitment goal by 25%, and recently cut its projection for its total force for this year by 10,000.

* U.S. Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth said at the CNBC Work Summit on Wednesday that it’s become harder for the military to compete for recruits.

* Like all large employees, a tight labor market is a factor, but the health issues of young Americans including obesity, and misperceptions about serving after 20 years of war, are big issues to overcome.

The U.S. Army is spending more than ever before on technology to replace an aging military infrastructure, from artificial intelligence to new fighting machines moving 1980s tanks off the field of battle.

This whole can't get enouugh people is not a surprise to anyone eho jas served or has common sense. But to listen to the "experts" you think it was some kind of shock out of left field.
This is what happens in,:
a. Degenerate society. Those seeking virtue and honor see the military as supporter of woke ideology and want nothing to do with it.
b. Most military recuits since The 70s came from the conservative South. Woke hates these guys...so why join.
c. Are you white? Then you are wrong.... So Why defend a Government that sees you as a deplorable?
D. served over 24 years in combat units. Friends say they can no longer recommend to their kids to join.
So this is mo suprise Big Army had a culture problem effecting recruitment...but they do not talk about that. They say tight job market , the economy..blah blah blah.
Typical of the political age we live in....the problem wil not be solved due to the failure to address the root problem.
