U.S. Midterm Elections Update - Republicans On The Verge Of Taking The House. US Senate Still Too Close To Call

WNU Editor: There is no red tsunami. The predictions were wrong.

The Republicans have lost two Governor-ships. Massachusetts and Maryland. It also looks like Kari Lake will not win the Governorship in Arizona as many Republicans were hoping.

In regards to the US Senate. Georgia is headed to a run-off election. Pennsylvania is trending towards Democrat John Fetterman, but there are still a lot of votes to count outside the big cities. If all other trends continue, Georgia may decide who will be the majority party in the US Senate.

I am also looking at the Senate race in Alaska. Because of how the vote is decided, the Democrats may actually win the state.

The Republicans will win the House of Representatives. They have already flipped 5 seats, and leading in a number of others. This is the big story of the day.

Bottom line. I expect gridlock in Washington. The key is the US Senate. If Republicans win 51 seats, President Biden's appointees are not going to be easily approved.

The Republicans are a do-nothing party. The BEST they can hope for is gridlock. Meanwhile, Democrats are in to WIN. History clearly shows that you do not win a protracted war with a peer opponent using only defensive tactics. Occasionally, every once in a while, you have to actually go on the offensive, which the Republicans absolutely suck at. Democrats see politics as a WAR. The Republicans see politics as ... who the hell knows? Certainly not a make-or-break war. It's amazing to see how relatively little the Democrats have lots given that their party elected and supports possibly the worst president in US history. I'm convinced that aside from a spiritual revival, the only thing that might wake up Americans to our plight is an outright defeat in a major war. And even then, I'm not sure. Sleep tight America.

Very nicely/concisely said. Bears repeating especially in war colleges, board rooms and elsewhere.

What is the senate Republican leader McConnell called? The TURTLE

It is almost as if McConnell has struck a deal. So long as he remains the basketball captain of the Washington Generals, the Democrat Globe Trotters will let him keep the money accrued during his time in politics and not ,mercilessly persecute him for something or other.
