From The AFP:
WASHINGTON (AFP) - US President George W. Bush will make a statement Monday at 5:15 pm (2115 GMT) about the conflict between Russia and Georgia, his spokeswoman said.
"The president will provide a statement in the Rose Garden at 5:15 pm today," press secretary Dana Perino told reporters aboard Air Force One as Bush was returning from a trip to Beijing.
"The president has been getting regular updates on the situation in Georgia," she said.
"He got one this morning, an intel brief, and got some throughout the day as he was at the events," Perino said, referring to games at the Olympics which Bush has been attending.
"This afternoon at about 1:50 pm (1750 GMT), he spoke with his national security advisor Stephen Hadley and he got a comprehensive briefing on the situation," she said.
"We are continuously working to gather facts and analyzing facts on the ground."
Asked by reporters how developments had changed, Perino answered: "It's hard to assess."
Bush had on Monday condemned the Russian military offensive against Georgia, saying the violence in South Ossetia was unacceptable and Moscow's bombing disproportionate.

Hi,
Your site now includes audio? Can you tell me how to turn it off? Everytime my mouse moves in the window with your site, the audio starts again. I've now got about 8 voices saying the same thing about a second off...I can't read the news while this goes on.
If you reply here, I'll get the message. Thanks!
I have the same problem. It is the news video clips from AP. On one of my computers they run in sync with each other ... and it drives me crazy. On my other two computers it does not. I am now only going to give the link to the videos themselves ... and I will not embed them in my blog.
Sorry for the headaches.
