For info on what is happening in Russia, I have listed a collection of my favorite Russian news websites and blogs (they are in English). I will be gathering a list of Georgian sites for tomorrow. Some of the official Georgian sites that I have used are no longer online .... I must assume that they are experiencing hacker attacks as reported by Wired magazine.

La Russophobe -- US-based popular Russia blog recording the rise of the Neo-Soviet Union.
Moscow Times -- Leading English language daily newspaper.
Novaya Gazeta -- Liberal newspaper known for its investigative journalism.
Pravda.ru -- Pro-government news site, not online version of pro-communist printed newspaper of the same name.
Prima-News -- Independent Russian news agency, focusing on the human rights situation in Russia and abroad.
Prime-Tass -- Russia's leading business news agency.
Radio Free Europe - Russia -- News and analysis of Russian domestic politics by the staff of Radio Liberty.
Radio Voice of Russia -- Site of the state radio company. Features daily news, comments and special reports.
RBC News - RosBusinessConsulting -- Provides breaking news on Russian stock and financial markets, and daily commentary.
Regnum -- Goverment-affiliated, one of the leading Russian online information services covering news from Russia, the CIS countries, and the Baltic states.
RIA-Novosti -- State run news agency.
Russia Beyond the Headlines -- English version of state owned Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper.
Russia Blog -- A blog from a Russian perspective.
Russia in Global Affairs -- Journal on foreign affairs and international relations. Also carries material from analytical centers and publishes articles from Russian newspapers.
Russia News Network -- A news aggregator of news in Russia

Russia Profile -- Online information service and magazine offering expert analysis of Russian politics, economics, society and culture.
Russia Today -- First 24/7 English-language news channel. Founder - RIA-Novosti.
Siberian Light - Blogging Russia -- Covers Russia and the former Soviet Union, providing analysis of the most topical issues.
St. Petersburg Times -- Major English-language newspaper.
Vesti.ru -- Video news channel covering major national and international events. Part of state-run RTR, the biggest Russian media corporation.
Vladivostok News -- Russian Far East's first English-language newspaper.
