From the Telegraph:
Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe is expected to sign a power-sharing deal which will see his rival Morgan Tsvangirai become prime minister, a senior ruling party official said last night.
The official said Mugabe’s Zanu-PF party wants any unity government to last five years and has agreed to having the leader of the Movement for Democratic Change as prime minister, although his powers are still under discussion.
“We anticipate there could be a signing tomorrow, after the leaders have met to thrash out the remaining issues,” the official said last night.
The two sides have been in negotiations for more than two weeks, in an attempt to end the crisis caused by the presidential election.
