US Nuclear Envoy Holds N. Korea Talks In Beijing

BEIJING -- The top U.S. nuclear envoy held talks with his Chinese counterpart in Beijing on Saturday, an embassy spokesman said, after a trip to North Korea failed to stop the communist regime from restoring its atomic facilities.
Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill met with Chinese nuclear negotiator Wu Dawei for about an hour in the capital, said Richard Buangan, spokesman for the U.S. Embassy in Beijing.
China is North Korea's main ally and Wu represents China in stalled six-nation negotiations that also involve both Koreas, Japan and Russia. Hill later met the Russian ambassador before heading to Tokyo.

My Comment: Arriving in China to discuss negotiations on North Korea .... on the same day that a large arms agreement is reached between Taiwan and the U.S..
Talk about lousy timing.
