Somalia's Transitional Government Has Collapsed
The former mayor of Somalia's national capital, Mogadishu, told a press conference Wednesday that the country's transitional government has "collapsed."
Mohamed "Dheere" Omar, an ex-warlord, told reporters that the government's collapse came after he was fired by Prime Minister Nur "Adde" Hassan Hussein last month.
"The government has failed on security because unworthy people have been appointed as leaders," he said, without giving any specific names.
The ex-mayor accused Prime Minister Nur Adde of having links to al Shabaab insurgents, reiterating accusations he made earlier this month. READ: Mogadishu' s ex-mayor links govt leaders to al Shabaab
"The public knows that [Prime Minister] Nur Adde and al Shabaab have close ties," he said, while alleging that the Prime Minister's airplane was not attacked with mortars as it landed recently.

My Comment: Somalia has been a failed state for years .... no one will notice the collapse of this government.
