U.S. - Hamas Reconciliation
DAMASCUS, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- Exiled Hamas politburo leader Khaled Meshaal said here on Wednesday that his group is ready to deal with a new U.S. administration led by president-elect Barak Obama.
Meshaal made the remarks to the press after a meeting with Syrian Vice President Farouk al-Shara, noting that the U.S. needs change more than the rest of the world due to the erroneous policies of the Bush administration during the past years.
"We, as Palestinians and Arabs, are prepared to deal with open minds with any American administration that respects the region's interests and our people's choices, standards and legitimate rights," said the Hamas supremo.
U.S. Democratic Party candidate Barak Obama won a landslide victory in Tuesday's presidential election, which made him the first African-American president in U.S. history.
My Comment: I doubt it.
